Staining Tips

• On vertical surfaces, always work from the bottom up.
• Store unused products in airtight container.
• Do not dilute any of these products.
• Do not apply in direct sunlight, when wood is hot, when wood is wet, when temperature is below 5° C, or when rain or freezing will occur within 24 hours.
• Do not use WOODS™ products over surfaces that have been cleaned with bleaches, TSP, etc. or coated with other products.

General Application

• Step 1 - Prepare
  • The surface must be dry and free of dirt, oil, grease, wax, rust, mildew and any other surface contamination.

WOODSä End Seal should be applied immediately after cuts are made in the wood. If this is not possible WOODSä End Seal may be applied prior to or after using a WOODSä finishing system.

• Step 2 - Protect
  • Apply a generous amount on log or board ends and construction cuts with a brush.
  • Allow to dry at least 24 - 48 hours.

   

• Step 3 – Preserve      Once a year!!
  • Thoroughly rinse your structure with a garden hose to remove any dirt and dust.
  • If water penetrates log or board ends, or there is maintenance done with WOODSä Exterior Finish, apply another coat of End Seal to board or log ends.
