Two applications of tinted WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish, with one or two applications of WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish clear. This system will produce a deep oiled looking finish
giving the dense grain a smooth sheen.

Staining
Tips
- Test a small area for colour (do 2 applications of colour).
- For optimum protection, 2 applications of WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish tinted and 1 application of WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish clear.
- Apply stain from one end of a board to the other.
- On vertical surfaces, always work from the bottom up.
- Store unused products in airtight container.
- For siding it is recommended that all four sides and ends be treated with
one coat of WOODS
Exterior Finish.
- Do not dilute any of these products.
- Do not apply in direct sunlight, when wood is hot, when wood is wet, when
temperature is below 5° C, or when rain or freezing will occur within 24
hours.
- Do not use WOODS
products over surfaces that have been cleaned with bleaches, TSP, etc. or
coated with other products.
Application
Three Simple Steps
- Step 1 - Prepare
- The wood surface must be dry and free of dirt, oil, grease, wax, rust,
mildew and any other surface contamination. Use the appropriate WOODS
Exterior Conditioner to prepare your wood for finishing.
- Step 2 - Protect
- WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish - 3 applications Add one full WOODS
Pigment Pouch as per directions to WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish. The first and second applications of finish must
contain pigment.
- Apply a flood coat of WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish with a brush or roller. Always start from the bottom
and work your way up.
- Back brush as you are applying. This method assures maximum penetration
into small cracks and removes runs.
- Allow a minimum 24 hours of drying time between 1st and 2nd coats.
If humidity is high, allow up to one week between coats.
- A third application of clear WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish as per the above directions gives optimum protection
to the wood.
- Step 3 - Preserve
- Once a year!! Wash the surface with a mild solution of WOODS
Exterior New Wood Conditioner, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- If water penetrates the surface (allow surface to dry thoroughly)
apply a wipe coat of WOODS
Exterior Oil Finish to restore luster and protection.
Caution: This product will be damages if frozen. Store at temperatures
above 5ēC.
