Staining
Tips
- Do not dilute any of these products.
- Work from the bottom up.
- Store unused products in airtight container.
- Varying grain and density of the wood will affect the color. Test the
color on a sample of wood used to ensure that it is satisfactory.
- The surface must be dry and free of dirt, dust, oil, grease, wax, rust,
mildew and any other surface contamination.
Application
Three Simple Steps
- Step 1 - Prepare
- The wood surface must be dry and free of dirt, oil, grease, wax, rust,
mildew and any other surface contamination.
- Step 2 - Beautify and Protect
- One or two coats are recommended.
- It may be necessary to apply multiple coats for the effect you desire.
- It is recommended that the project be broken down into small workable
areas.
- On vertical surfaces start from the bottom up preventing drips on
uncoated wood. If drips or runs occur, back brush from the beginning
of board to the end.
- Apply WOODS
Interior - Wiping Stain with a high quality brush or rag. Work the finish
into the wood following the grain. Allow two to four hour of drying
time before applying a second coat and/or sanding.
- It is preferable to sand the surface lightly after the first coat
has completely dried.
- Follow with WOODS
Interior Gold Urethane or WOODS
Interior Clear Wood Finish depending on the surface.
- Recommended coverage: one gallon of WOODS
Interior - Wiping Stain will cover approximately 200-400 square feet
per application.
Caution: This product will be damages if frozen. Store
at temperatures above 5ēC.
